SOPHI BEVERLY
Sophi Beverly is an independent singer. All of her songs are self-written and recorded in a private and remote underground fallout shelter in Nevada, otherwise known as “The Closet”. Out there she is a part-time acrobat, art consumer and student of life. Sophi prides herself on her fortuitous expressive force and creative conviction and weaves her musical influences through all of her work, from psychedelic rock, to R&B, to jazz. She credits most of her style to Mariah Carey, Alex Turner, Sleater-Kinney and Helter Skelter. Sophi is a survivor and believes that adversity is the crucible of resilience. She knows that her transformative “alchemizing” way of depicting her lived-experiences through music is her purpose, thus she continually relieves her itch to break out of the basement, one song at a time.
